"…that’s what we are aiming for.“, we said. We are Alex, Frank, Olaf, Phil and Thomas. Our vision: Map-based weather forecasts for every single point on the earth. It doesn’t matter at what altitude you are, or whether you are at sea, where there are no place names. With METEOplus we have managed to create the first map-based weather forecasting system that can deliver weather forecasts for every single point on the Earth. Your current GPS position, which is used to provide weather forecasts at your location, is of course transmitted anonymously and can also be disabled.

It frustrated us that previously you always had to search for a place and then received a weather forecast for the nearest location. We therefore started this project.
You can help us to ensure that METEOplus delivers the most accurate forecasts. It’s an enormous project, but with your help we can complete it together.

Help us by scouring the world for inaccurate forecasts. We need these to make the app really really good. Whenever you find an inaccurate forecast, please send it to us. This data then feeds directly into a tool for improving the forecasts.

App actively warns you of precipitation on request
Displays the time of next precipitation
Displays the time when the weather will return to being dry
Can freely select the advance warning time until next precipitation

WEATHER FORECASTS
Current weather in your location
Water temperatures of the seas
Table view (day and hourly views)
Chart view for the next 10 days (2 days in the free version)
Menu layout options for both right and left handed users
Timeline option can be activated, with small or large text
Ability to switch quickly between map view, table view and chart view for every point on the earth

In this app we are simply concentrating on the forecasts. There are other suppliers who are already very good at providing colourful forecast videos. ;-) And even if we don’t quite manage to precisely predict every single rain shower across the world, this is still our aim.
We believe that the effort is worth it. Our aim is to measure the temperature exactly to within 1 degree and to forecast the weather accurately.

And thanks to our new interface, it is in fact also possible to retrieve this data from other platforms. Simply ask us about prices.
For each euro that we receive, we donate 20 cents to the education project “climate ambassadors”, which installs weather stations in schools to create an international network. The rest is used to build our app. We can’t improve the weather, but we can improve the forecasting.

We welcome your ideas, your comments, and particularly your tips on unusual forecasts in particular locations. The system might be pretty cool, but it isn’t of course completely foolproof. Help us to make it even better. The journey to better forecasts has already begun...
